Blue & Gold, Screen Print - 3rd Edition.
Written, designed and printed for the "Utter" & Press Falmouth Open Studio - this print sold faster than I could keep up with! And We've had so many emails asking if there were any left - so we did another run!
We have perfected the technique - This is a two colour screen print: A a pitch perfect bronze sitting on a blue we mixed to exist somewhere between NASA and Matisse. We have had the black Litho printed, so that the text in the script is crisp and legible. We used the same exquisite paper - a cream white that seems to have it's own luminosity.
Tim wrote an original scene, and Juniper designed it. Litho and then silk screen printed on to GFSmith ColorPlan Natural 175GSM 45cm x 32cm (SRA3) in London. Embossed, initialed and numbered in our studio in Cornwall.
When Juniper designed the book, she found she was drawn to the image of Key gazing at the stars. She gave each chapter a constellation, (the number of stars in each is the number of poems in the chapter) and she them mapped each constellation to an object or moment in the chapter. Creating an entirely fictional star chart.
The print will be carefully wrapped in glassine paper and rolled into a triangular or cylindrical postage tube.
This is a third run, of the original print.
